bombilla
I don't know if bombilla is the proper term used in the paper-making industry, but at least the purpose of this 'straw pipe' (= 'drinking straw' in conventional native English) would be relatively clear to Chile's mate consumers.

Siendo una tradetrad, probablemente tradujeron del finés la descripción de la superficie porosa, normalmente una tela muy fina y resistente con ese aspecto.
Creo que fue una trad literal, no tiene nada que ver con "straw".
