Oil waste and toxic compound separator
I concur with your initial idea.
Based on sheer numbers of search results, "oil waste and toxic compound separator" appears to be more prevalent than more intuitive choices such as "oil product separator" or "petroleum product separator".
But just for the record, "petroleum product separator" is the term I've used in the past.

First, I am not NS but I think the right translation depends on the purpose. If it refers to "oil waste product" I would use "Knockout". If it is not waste, I would use "Separator" or "Exctractor".
