Credo che si stia riferendo al bordo, in genere elasticizzato, che a seconda della lunghezza della calza si trova a metà polpaccio, oppure sotto al ginocchio.

: Però dalle immagini sembra che queste calze siano da portare risvoltate, mentre quelle nel link dell'asker sembra piuttosto che abbiano un bordino a contrasto.

A me non sembrano che siano da portare risvoltate. Dalla foto mi pare che sia un semplice risvolto. Comunque grazie per l'osservazione.
