Это именно толщина дна той емкости, в которой находится образец - лунки планшета, чашки Петри или любой другой используемой емкости.

В инвертированном микроскопе объектив находится снизу под столом для образцов (а освещение находится сверху), поэтому наблюдение ведется через дно сосуда. Стенки здесь совершенно ни при чем.

neutral  Igor Andreev: нижняя стенка сосуда и есть дно, возможно я усложнил - меня всегда смущали культуральные флаконы, у которых дно сбоку ), пока их не поместишь в рабочее положение, разумеется / я не спорю, я такими даже пользовался в молодости/ и клетки тоже на дне растут)
