It's not long now but I must, must try not to play the record to death when I get it

but it is these people what wasnt there that have opinions because mainstream dj's play the record to death.

I know I'll play the record to death, like all the others. If only for the new sequence, right?

So assuming you don't play the record to death then it'll be fine and I think it's something like a few hundred years before the record

play over and over again

in colloquial English people will most likely use this term even though it doesn't sound as a precise. I haven't found very many references to the other suggested terms on the web. it's not that they aren't used, but in American English they are used uncommonly. note that in the free dictionary "play over and over" is considered an idiom.

hope this helps.
