Hello,

What would be a good translation for the following question asked to a group of friends who created their own online series.

¿cuáles eran las pretensiones con las que afrontaban el proyecto?

Answer:Simplemente conseguir un trabajo en el mundo audiovisual. Que alguna productora nos llamase individualmente para trabajar

Thanks

agree Pablo Julián Davis : de acuerdo. o bien: '...when you took on the project?'

I agree taking on the project sounds natural, but I like the added nuance with "tackling the project" as an active participation, assuming the project is challenging and thus like tackling or dealing with or taking on a problem or an issue or a "project".

Thank you, Simon - Mike
agree FVS (X) : I prefer aims to aspirations which I don't like. Or maybe intentions.

What were your expectations for the desired outcome of the project?

This may sound a bit formal, but you can easily modify it, depending on the context and the register used in the rest of the text.
Peer comment(s):

agree axies : only that I would change the word ''espectations'' for aims or even expected results!
