agree Joss Heywood : Also just "bishop", as all bishops by definition have a diocese, but, in more formal Church documents, as Phil says, it would probably be "the ordinary" - who, in rare cases, may not be a bishop, but an abbot: http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/help.html
