Swedish term or phrase: mothåll
"Det är vanligt att nya mothåll påträffas under granskningen eller att granskaren gör en annan bedömning än sökanden av mothållens relevans." The text is a legal comment on a patent infringement case. So it isnät "mothåll" in any mechanical engineering sense. I am considering treating it as another way of saying "teknikens ståndpunkt", i.e. "prior art" or perhaps "evidence of prior art".

I should really liked to share the points between Norskpro and George H. - ended up mainly using "citation", once in combination with "prior art". Thanks both of you!
