I have been using wf with word 2003 without any problems. But now I am changing to word 2007. Does anyone know how to install wf and, more important, where to find the Tools/Templates & Add-Ins menus needed to install plus tools?

Install as per Wf ReadMe file Dec 15, 2007

Download the latest version of Wordfast at www.wordfast.net. The download file (zip archive) includes WfReadMe text file with brief installation instructions. Follow these instructions and you should be able to install Wordfast easily, even under Word 2007.

Thanks David, found that read me file very useful. But, what about ptools? Is it there any updated read me file too?

PlusTools under Word 2007 Dec 16, 2007

PlusTools is not yet officially W2007-compatible (the latest version of PlusTools was released in March 2006) but people say it's working (but I haven't tried). The PlusTools icon does not show under Word 2007 (no idea why) but you can press Alt+F2 to launch the +Tools window.

To install PlusTools under W2007, click the Office button, then Word Options button, switch to Add-Ins tab, select "Word Add-Ins" in the drop-down list at the bottom of the tab and click Go. You'll see the goo... See more

To install PlusTools under W2007, click the Office button, then Word Options button, switch to Add-Ins tab, select "Word Add-Ins" in the drop-down list at the bottom of the tab and click Go. You'll see the good old dialogue to manage Word templates. Click Add, navigate to plustools.dot (wherever you saved it) and click OK. That's it. When you want to use PlusTools in Word next time again, you'll need to go back to this dialogue and check PlusTools (or is there any easier way under Word 2007?).

Alternatively, if you are a frequent PlusTools user, you can save plustools.dot in Word's Startup folder to have +Tools available (by pressing Alt+F2) as soon as you launch Word. To learn where your Word Startup folder is, go to Word Options, select the Advanced tab, and click the File Locations button. You'll see the dialogue mentioning the paths to Word-specific folders. The Startup folder path is usually last in the list. (If you can't see the full path in the dialogue, select it, and click Customise. Note the path and cancel the Customise dialogue). ▲ Collapse

finally found Dec 18, 2007

Hi David, thanks again. I finally found the path. Anyway, I had that same problem with Word 2003, namely missing PlusTools and having to mark it every time I wanted to use it. I think I can go on this same way with Word 2007 until they find a more definitive solution. Hope that next version cames with a more functional way to deal with it.

I did not use PlusTool.
