How to convert .tmx into .sdltm (TM) or .xliff file

Hi

I have Trados 2014, but I client sends me word source files with .tmx, explaining that half of the matches can be taken from .tmx. Now I need to know that how to use .tmx with Trados 2014, can I convert .tms into .sdltm or .xliff file, (if I can add it to soem exiting TM), as it will help me to get matches or somehow can I directly add .tms as trados 2014 TM.
Please guide, thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can either import a TMX into an existing (matching) translation memory, or upgrade it so you have a new one based on only the contents of the TMX. If I was you I'd upgrade it, add it to your project alongside your own Translation Memory so you can use it as a reference and also pretranslate against it.

Worked very well, but relatively slowly of course, with the large TM I have.

50 terms limit in this conversion Nov 7, 2016

i have imported the TMX file into TM (trados 2015) or upgraded it, but i just receive 50 terms in the SDLTM file. Could anybody here please show me why??
