I am a Freelance French>English Translator specialising in Marketing, Beauty, Fashion, Art and Tourism translation. Based in the UK and a native English speaker, I hold the IoLET Level 7 Diploma in Translation (Master's Level), a BA Degree in French and the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, and I work with translation agencies on translation projects for leading brands and institutions in the beauty, fashion, art and tourism sectors. I work with SDL Trados Studio 2021 and can also work with memoQ or Memsource, depending on your needs.
I have a strong background in Marketing - over my 13 year Marketing career, which started in fashion in New York, I worked on beauty brands within the UK and globally. I have over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry, during which I worked at the London office of a French beauty brand for 5 years as Marketing Manager.
My years of experience on the client side mean I understand first-hand the importance of attention to detail and crafting copy to convey the right message and tone - copy that will achieve the desired impact. I love combining my knowledge in my specialist areas with my passion for languages and my aim is to make a difference for clients by helping them to convey their message in the most effective way possible, thereby achieving the results they're looking for.
