One of my greatest passions is languages. I love to learn them, to use them and to compare them. One of the areas where they are used comparatively is translation. However, decades of practice have taught me that because of the discrepancies languages exhibit in addition to non-linguistic variables, translation requires both the accuracy and precision of the scientist and the creativity and imagination of the artist.
