ملخص رواية
" باري – أنشودة سَودان "
تدور أحداث الرواية في منتصف القرن التاسع الميلادي حيث سيطر المسلمون على سواحل البحر المتوسط وصارت لهم إمارات قوية بجنوب إيطاليا وصقلية وكان لهذه الفترة نصيب كبير من التعايش والتبادل الثقافي واكتشاف الآخر ... صدام اجتماعي ونفسي وحربي بين شخصيات الرواية من كلا الجانبين، هنا يبرز دور الأمير سودان آخر أمراء إمارة باري؛ رصد كامل للحياة الاجتماعية وعرض شامل للأحداث من عدة وجهات نظر وكيف أن لاختياراتنا الكثير من التبعات، وعلينا تحمل العواقب.. التضحية والإيثار..الشجاعة والخذلان.. كلها صفات تبرز من خلال المشاهد والحوارات بين أبطال الرواية أن الصداقة والحب النقي هما أساسا الفطرة السوية. كما ترصد الرواية الصراع بين ممالك إيطاليا المسيحية والذي يتحول إلى تحالف للقضاء على الإمارة الفتية وأميرها سودان الذي يخوض معاركه الخاصة بداخل المدينة وخارجها، نهر متدفق من الأحداث وبناء لحقبة خفية لا يعلم الكثيرون عنها، وبين الحياة الاجتماعية والآلام الناتجة عن الحرب تبقى أنشودة سودان شاهدة على ما حدث هناك.. فبينما كانت أوروبا تعيش على مآثر الماضي وينشد الرواة عبر القرى والمدن قصص وأناشيد أسطورية عن أبطال تصدوا لغزو البرابرة السراسنة – المسلمون - ... كانت أنشودة سَودان هي الأحق بالذكر والخلود..

The novel takes place in the mid-nineteenth century when the Muslims dominated over the shores of the Mediterranean and had powerful emirates in the south of Italy and Sicily. That period of time witnessed a great share of co-existence, cultural exchange, and the other discovery… A social, psychological, and military clash between the characters of the novel on both sides and here it highlights the role of Prince Sawdan, the last prince of Bari Emirate. It is a full monitoring of the social life and a comprehensive presentation of the events from several points of view as well as it shows how our choices have many consequences and that we have to take the results… Sacrifice and altruism… bravery and desertion… are all characteristics that manifest, through the scenes and dialogues between the heroes of the novel, that friendship and pure love are the basis of common sense. In addition, the novel sheds light on the clash between the Christian kingdoms of Italy that turns into alliance to wipe out the strong emirate and its prince, Sawdan, who goes into his own battles inside and outside the city… From the novel, a flowing river of events gushed and the establishment of a hidden era which many do not know about. Between the social life and the suffering caused by war, the chant of Sawdan remains the bystander of what happened there… While Europe was living on the past feats and the narrators over the cities and villages were narrating legendary stories and songs about heroes who stood against the barbarian Saracens- the Muslims- …. The chant of Sawdan was definitely the most deserving of mention and eternity…
