I work mostly for the EU Institutions and they will be closed from 24.12.2019 until 02.01.2020 (inclusive). Work from my other customers is extremely irregular during this season but they know that I'll be available for them.

Happy New Year to you all!

Yes. Jan 1, 2020

And I myself try to slow down and unwind as well.

Happy New Year. May 2020 start your way off right into the "golden 20's".

End clients in particular tend to show up around this time. Imagine someone who has to get paperwork done but is always too busy, and finally has a vacation of a few days - and then with the new year looming they see they still haven't done it.

But others don't, and I made sure I had plenty to do over Christmas and the New Year. Maybe a little too much, even.

And you don't really have to worry about companies that take days off for more than a week between X-mas and the new year, because they won't be in the market for too long.

I rarely hear from my clients during the last two weeks of December.

Because there are some activities that take place right at the end of the year, around 29/30 December-awards for instance, best player, best goalkeeper, best performer, etc. so, since I like these, I have to be available or make sure, within limits, to be available till I wrap things up nicely before 31 December so I can then still celebrate.

The government here seems to.
