Source text - English ATE is most commonly associated with myocardial disease in cats, including hypertrophic, restrictive, and dilated cardiomyopathy.
Although the exact etiology of ATE has not been determined, it is theorized that abnormal blood flow (stasis) and a hypercoagulable state contribute to the formation of the thrombus within the left atrium. The blood clot is then embolized distally to the aorta.

■ Although >95 percent of ATE in cats are associated with advanced feline heart disease, another associated condition is neoplasia, typically pulmonary carcinoma.
■ ATE rarely occurs in dogs. ATE in dogs typically is associated with neoplasia, sepsis, Cushing’s disease, protein - losing nephropathy, or other hypercoagulable states. Severe heart disease is not often associated with ATE in the dog.

The weaknesses in the part of global telecom network SS7 not only let hackers and spy agencies listen to personal phone calls and intercept SMSes on a potentially massive scale but also let them hijack social media accounts to which you have provided your phone number.
SS7 or Signaling System Number 7 is a telephony signaling protocol that is being used by more than 800 telecommunication operators worldwide to exchange information with one another, cross-carrier billing, enabling roaming, and other features.
However, an issue with the SS7 network is that it trusts text messages sent over it regardless of their origin. So, malicious hackers could trick SS7 into diverting text messages as well as calls to their own devices.
All they need is the target’s phone number and some details of the target’s device to initiate the silent snooping.

Source text - English Basic or pure research advances fundamental knowledge about the world and generates new ideas, principles, and theories, which, while not always immediately usable, form the basis of progress and development in different fields and industries, even starting new ones. For example, computers could not exist without research in mathematical logics and solid state physics over a century ago, while the prevalent world wide web and social media owe much to the fundamental breakthroughs in semiconductors and network theory, for which there was no known practical application at the time. Basic research is more speculative and takes a long time, often decades, to be applied in the real world, and occasionally results in unexpected discoveries.
Applied research, on the other hand, aims to translate fundamental scientific discoveries into practical applications and create an impact in practice in a relatively short time. It often represents an incremental improvement to current processes or applications rather than delivering radical breakthroughs or revolutionizing how practitioners deal with a problem. In medicine, the term, translational research is further introduced to emphasize the research that aims to move “from bench to bedside” or form laboratory experiments through clinical trials to point-of-care patient applications. Different from basic research, applied or translational research is necessarily a much more iterative endeavor and requires close interaction between academics and industry.

I always wanted to be a translator. I studied Spanish, French and German as well, but English is the language which I really love and still keep studying and improving day after day because I believe that learning never ends.
At the moment I work as a bank clerk and a part-time translator. I am going to retire in September, 2020 when I will be a full-time translator.
My background experiences are: English teacher for five years and secretary for two years, where I worked, besides Portuguese, also with the English and Spanish languages.
At the translation graduation course, which I just loved, I learned technical and literary translation and subtitling techniques which have improved a lot my abilities. At present I'm taking a specialization course in the field of law, which will be ending next December.
I just love to translate and keep searching and studying every day and I compromise to deliver only great quality jobs. I am very detail oriented and attentive and deliver all the jobs I do on time. I’m also very careful and trustworthy and I’m conscious of how important these qualities are in confidential projects.
