Is there anyone out there who has tried both CuneiForm 12 and FineReader Pro 10 OCR software? I was looking into acquiring OCR software, but being cheap I decided to look first for a free program which could handle Cyrillic. After much searching, I came across Cuneiform, which was developed by a Russian company and thus has no problem with Cyrillic. I downloaded it and tried it on a few scanned images I had left from previous translations, but got poorer results than I was hoping for. I've heard good things about FineReader (also, incidentally, developed by a Russian company), but even though there's a limited free trial version, I don't want to download it unless it really will be better, as it's over 300 MB and I have an incoming traffic limit of 1000 MB/month. If anyone has tried both programs and can give some comparative feedback, I'd appreciate it.Collapse
