I handled many Hausa projects since the time I passionately ventured into translation and I am glad for getting results that the works were done excellently.
I have translated works on law related areas such as court proceedings, statements of witness, Immigration, Court Forms, etc. I did IT projects also for reputable companies whose clients are but not limited to the following: Nokia, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Sony Ericsson. I again transcribe and translate: English <> Hausa.
You may feel interested to know that the book "Banker to the Poor" I translated into Hausa [Ma'aikacin Banki Don Talakawa] has recently been published by www.authorhouse.com and now being sold by Amazon, Barnes and Nobel, etc―over 40 global bookstores!
Some of the companies I have worked with over the years include:
1. www.avantassessment.com
2. www.csoftintl.com
3. www.afrolingo.co.za
4. www.futuretrans.com
5. www.cbg.com
6. www.bayan-tech.com
ETC
Translation should be for the intended audience's understanding, and whether for reading or listening it ought to be based on context and meaning. This is where it matters most to try a fruitful collaboration. |
