Un mois et demi entre va-et-vient, Bangkok devient ma base pour visiter le sud-est asiatique et plus tard pour m’envoler au Japon. Assez de temps pour revoir les amis du pays et d’ailleurs, revivre les soirées électroniques et ce qui va avec sur les plages du sud sans pour autant sacrifier le culturel au nord.
Après la pongée en bouteille, je découvre la plongée en apnée. Rester sous l’eau sans bouteille ne dépassait guère les 15 secondes lors de mes sorties de pêche à Tahiti. On me garantit qu’après quelques jours je peux retenir mon souffle plus de 3 minutes et descendre 20 mètres ! Je relève le défi.
Au deuxième jour, à notre troisième séance d’échauffement et après des chronos dans la norme du débutant, je découvre un autre monde. On ferme d’abord les yeux, l’instructeur nous relaxe avec des techniques de yoga et de respiration. Lorsqu’il constate qu’on est bien relaxé, il nous demande d’arrêter de respirer et de se détendre. Je fais le vide dans ma tète, chasse la peur de mon ventre et navigue dans l’espace. Ce dont je me rappelle lors de mon voyage est d’avoir rencontré une personne sur une certaine planète.
Cette personne a l’air d’être très importante, un peu comme un prophète. Elle est souriante, paisible et arrive à communiquer directement à mon esprit. J’ai l’impression d’apprendre des choses d’elle mais sans savoir quoi, ensuite je change de planète pour une autre personne aussi importante et aussi sage et ainsi de suite. Une secousse, mon ventre se contracte, apparemment c’est le signe que mon niveau d’oxygène est bas. Mon réflexe de survie me ramène à la réalité après environ 7 minutes ailleurs.

After a month and a half of coming and going, I made Bangkok my base to visit Southeast Asia, and later my departure point to fly to Japan. Enough time to catch up with friends and moreover, relive the electronic parties of the beaches of the South and the things that go along with them, without giving up the culture of the North.
After scuba-diving, I discovered free-diving. Staying under water without a tank, I lasted barely 15 seconds during my fishing trips in Tahiti. I was assured that after a few days I would be able to hold my breath for over 3 minutes and descend to 20 meters! I rose to the challenge.
On the second day and our third warm up, after some standard stopwatch sessions for beginners, I discovered another world. First we closed our eyes, the instructor taught us to relax with yoga and breathing techniques. Once he saw that we were well relaxed, he asked us to stop breathing and keep on relaxing. I created a vacuum in my head; hunted the fear in my belly and sailed through space. What I remembered of my journey in space was meeting someone on another planet. This person seemed to be very important; someone like a prophet. She was smiling, appeared peaceful and managed to communicate directly into my mind. I had the impression of learning things from her, without knowing what it was exactly. Then I switched planets for another person just as important and as wise, and it went on. A jolt and my stomach shrank. Apparently that was the signal my oxygen levels were low. My survival reflex brought me back into reality after about seven minutes elsewhere.

The "Draw Tool" is the one that most artists will be familiar with. This tool is best used with a drawing tablet, although it can be used with a mouse.
The "Draw Tool" can generate a Region Layer, an Outline Layer and an Advanced Outline Layer with pressure output from the tablet mapped to the line's width.

Whether or not to scale the width based on the pressure input. If this is unchecked, the layer will be drawn at the width indicated in the New Layer Defaults section of the Toolbox

When the stroke begins and/or ends at or near a vertex Handle in another outline, and the outline isn't being extended by the "Auto Extend" option above, the first and/or last vertex of the resulting outline is linked to the Handle on the existing Outline Layer.

L'Outil Calligraphie est le pus familier de la plupart des artistes. Cet outil est mieux utilisé avec une tablette de dessin, bien qu'il puisse être utilisé avec une souris. Pas facile de résumer deux mois dans un pays surtout lorsqu’on se déplace en vélo – Vous pouvez lire mon Tumblr blog - ! Cela peut paraître long, mais en réalité ce pays mériterait d’autres visites. Les paysages, la cuisine, l’architecture sont d’une harmonie et d’un ordre presque parfaits.
Mon trajet après quelques 1700km, au départ de Tokyo, se termina à Nagasaki.
Tout le monde vous le dira ; Nagasaki est une ville unique au Japon tant par son histoire, sa géographie ainsi que son atmosphère. Le musée de la bombe est une visite triste et pourtant incontournable de la ville. Je passe du temps à regarder les témoignages vidéo déchirants des rescapés, à lire à travers le musée et à sillonner le parc dédié à la mémoire des disparus. Après quelques minutes assis au parc de la paix, une vielle dame m’interpelle et me pose les habituelles questions (d’où viens-tu, aimes-tu bien le Japon…) elle se présentera ensuite comme une des rescapés de la bombe. Après autant de temps passé à regarder des vidéos au musée, à écouter le professeur d’histoire sur les bancs de l’école, enfin un visage et une personne à qui je peux parler !
« Je n’ai rien de nouveau à te raconter à propos de l’événement » me dit-elle. « J’aimerais seulement que tu fasses passer mon message une fois de retour dans ton pays. Ceux qui pensent que l’humain apprend de ses fautes se trompent complètement. Ceux qui pensent que l’homme d’aujourd’hui est assez civilisé pour ne pas commettre les barbaries du passé, se trompent aussi. On doit constamment rappeler et informer, oublier le passé est une grave erreur ! Je ne blâme pas les américains en particuliers, car il y a d’autres qui nous blâment aussi et à juste raison. Oublier les différents et rappeler l’horreur de la guerre doit être une mission primordiale tant que l’homme existe sur cette terre. »

It’s not easy to sum up two months in a country especially when traveling by bike - You can read my Tumblr blog, it may seem long, but in reality this country deserves more than one visit. Landscapes, cuisine, architecture are in harmony, almost in a kind of perfect order.
My ride ended after some 1700km, from Tokyo to Nagasaki.
Everyone will tell you; Nagasaki is a unique city in Japan, for its history, its geography and its atmosphere. The Museum of the Bomb is a sad yet unavoidable place in the city that must be visited. I spent time watching the heartbreaking video testimonials of survivors, reading through the museum literature, and wandering around the park dedicated to the memory of the victims. After a few minutes sitting in the Peace Park, an old lady approached me and asked me the usual questions (Where do you come from? Do you like Japan?...) she was one of the survivors of the bomb. After spending so much time watching videos in the museum, listening to the history teachers from the benches at school, I finally met a face, a person that I can talk to!
“I have nothing new to tell you about the event,” she said. “I just want you to spread my message once back in your country. Those who think that humans learn from their mistakes are completely wrong. Those who think that modern man is civilised enough not to commit barbarities of the past are wrong too. We must constantly remind and inform, because to forget the past is a big mistake! I do not blame the Americans in particular, because there are others who blame us too and rightly so. Forget our differences and remember the horror of the war, this must be a primary mission while humans exist here on earth.”
