Alex King . I have been working with Smartling since early 2012 and my experience has been really positive. It is more that just handy, it's truly exciting to see your translations appearing right in the context of the website you are localizing. After all, visual context is so tremendously important.
Now I expect every translation system to provide me with the same tools and facilities and don't even want to accept that a translation tool has to be bulky, or complex, or ugly. Not at all: it must be slick, convenient and constantly improving -- like Smartling.
I won't deny though that it took me some time to get used to some aspects of the workflow, depending on my role (translator or editor) and type of project (translated professionally or by users), but learning to translate in the system itself is quick, and when new features are introduced they are also easy to pick up.
Another important thing about Smartling is the human factor: I know I can always get timely support and have my questions answered. And it doesn't feel that the people giving those answers just want to close yet another ticket ASAP: it feels like they really want to help and enjoy what they do.

Paulo Camargo . The Smartling platform is a very user-friendly, effective translation tool.
The translation of websites and online apps can be very tricky, but in Smartling the translator can see a visual context of the translation and there are Instructions on the strings explaining what it’s referring to, which is very helpful and avoid many mistranslations due to the lack of context.
Smartling also has a style guide, glossaries and a translation memory which help maintain consistency, improve productivity and enhance the quality of the translations.
BLC's translators and editors really enjoy working on Smartling as they can easily follow up their progress in the Dashboard as well as post comments with queries and concerns, which are promptly answered.
Overall, it’s a great tool to work with: very easy to use and helpful. We definitely recommend it!

Francesco Rho . I worked on lot of web-based translation tools in the past and this is without any doubt the best choice. It's easy to learn and to use and rich of useful features. TM and tags management work smoothly and you have the ability to see your translation in context when you are still working on them.
Beside this, Smartling team is very supportive and opened to suggestions. It's really a tool that I recommend to anyone!

No time is wasted when using this tool. Also, it keeps improving to meet our needs even better.
Not to mention that to work with Smartling team is a real pleasure!

It's easy to learn and use, yet as powerful as any other translation tool I use. The fact that it's could based means that I can access my work from any kind of computer anywhere, which I love. Simple, efficient and also very reliable and stable.
