You can get duped by fraudulent Sylheti claimant or fake Sylheti translator as that often happens. I often get verification requests from translation agencies. So beware of falling victim of such trickery and get your translation right.

Please note that you cannot recognize or identify Sylheti text just by looking at it as both Sylheti and Bengali language consists of the same script that makes it impossible for a foreigner to recognize.

Some people in this trade (non-natives) appear to have adopted this fraudulent way of passing Bengali as Sylheti (since the script - superficially - look alike), that causes expense, damage to the client.
