Philosophy
I have a firm belief in the problem-solving power of common sense. We overcomplicate our lives and look for complex solutions, when most of the time the answer is quite simple. This defines the way I work: I try to concentrate on important elements and avoid unnecessary ones. This means two things: Honest communication with my customers with no waffle, and professional, accurate and to-the-point translations.
Technology
I know and use some of the most advanced translation technology tools. I make use of most of the achievements of our last decade that make our jobs easier in the third millennium. The transformation of this profession does not scare me. I use new tools for my own benefit; I do not submit myself to them. I am open to new things, I am a quick learner, and this can only serve as a benefit for my clients.
Experience
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2007. I have translated over three million words in my main areas of expertise (which you can check from the home page of my website). Among the companies using my translations are Google, eBay, Vodafone, Coca-Cola, Sportingbet, GameDesire, Hotels.com, SonyEriccson and Dell, but this list is far from exhaustive.
Education
I have a qualification in Translation and Interpretation from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. I also have an MSc degree in Business and Management with a specialisation in Regional and Urban Development. During my university studies, I was a member of Liska Tibor College for Advanced Studies, where I now run a small translation workshop. I spent a semester in Copenhagen, studying Marketing Management in English.
