"Condizioni d'uso" doesn't mean "conditions of use", which is something else entirely.
Uso is "convention", in other words common practice, which is another possible translation.

| Hi Phil! Thank you very much for your answer. The preposition "DI" here is confusing to me. As a native Italian speaker we usually write:"d'uso" when we talk about "use" and "in uso" when we refer to "convention". This is what made the whole sentence sound a bit strange to me. |
