: 'recorded in the margin' is OK, but your 'longer translation' is not correct. The matter recorded in the margin (of the original of the articles of association) was the subsequent approval by the Superintendencia.

: In my experience these "notes" are not always in the margin at all, but simply endorsed wherever there happens to be a space, so maybe simpy "I recorded..."

That's true, but space is most-commonly to be found in the (deliberately wide) margins around the body of the text. And in my experience, even if a note extends to other blank space that may be available, it usually begins in the margin alongside the para. of the document to which it refers.
In any case, regardless of where they are actually recorded, they are usually referred to as 'marginal notes':
