Russian term

лица подпадающие под ограничения

Russian to English Law/Patents Law (general) Police Check
Please help me understand the second part of this convoluted legal sentence:

"Указанные [...] сведения не подлежат использованию [...] а также в отношение лиц, подпадающих под ограничения, связанные с привлечением их к уголовной ответственности, предусмотренные законодательными актами."

I'd really appreciate it if someone could suggest a translation for this whole phrase. TIA!

persons subject to restrictions

Said information/provisions/whatever shall not apply to [...], nor to persons subject to restrictions under the law arising out of criminal charges brought against them/said persons.

Something like that anyway. The devil, as I am sure we all know, is not so much in the words as in native usage. What I suggested above is clearly American legalese, and you may have your own legal cliches in Australia, but at least it's still English:)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you once again! I needed the legalese for a police check."

restricted persons

unless you are requested to follow the source sentence closely, this bit ' в отношение лиц, подпадающих под ограничения, связанные с привлечением их к уголовной ответственности, предусмотренные законодательными актами.' is just 'for restricted persons'/'as far as restricted persons' etc.
Note from asker:
Thank you, your answer made a lot of sense but I wanted to stay closer to the source text.
