The skin appendages include sweat glands, nails, and the pilosebaceous unit of the skin, comprised of the hair shaft, hair follicle, sebaceous gland, and arrector pili muscle — these appendages derive from a down growth of the epidermis beginning in the third month of fetal life.

The Integumentary System

I can only speak for a US English Audience but while "skin and skin appendages" isn't necessarily wrong, but it would be used only in high level research. It is quite an uncomfortable phrasing, due to the inclusion of the word "appendage" and most people would avoid writing or saying it at all costs.

Therefore, I would say, "The Integumentary System" for medical-level writing, or "Skin, Hair, and Nails" for patient-level writing.
Example sentence:

The Integumentary System is made up of the skin, hair, nails, and glands.
