Croatian term

slika i prilika raspetoga

Croatian to English Other Art, Arts & Crafts, Painting

agree Mark Daniels : Yes, image and likeness are just the terms used in theology. Trust me, I am a theology graduate!

Thanks, I thought the same thing about the spitting image.

disagree Mark Daniels : NO WAY JOSE!! Spitting image is a semi-comic term and hardly appropriate to use in connection with Christ!! Sorry! (P.S. Even if Morton Benson does have it :)

disagree Slavica Kosca : Unfortunately, this term is of an offensive nature. I strongly recommend not to be used.

agree malagrowther : Not sure whom I'm agreeing with. But spitting image is not offensive, however it's the kind of register that will give offence to some members of the community when used in an in appropriate context

epitome of crucifixion/being crucified/being torn apart

the very image of the Crucified

ako se pod raspetoga misli na Krista, mislim da bi crucified moralo pisati velikim slovom. ako nije Krist, onda "the very image of a crucified man/person"
