it is a puzzle joke I think this is a puzzle, please give me the 5 point If you agree with this and you find it helpful.
the two opposites of "right" are "left" and "wrong". Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do.
I think it means, موقف محير or لقد اختلط علي الأمر

Need the situation, it is slang convers, i think Hi Amira,

Since this is in a movie, I think we need to know the situation where it was said.

I think as slang, this means, a proverb that translated in my answer, this for the first part, but the second part means, as I guess only, that
3 انعطافات لليمين تجعله تتجه يسارًا
Please check and think deeper in the situation, I think you will got it.
Thanks
Wa'ad Younane Apr 27, 2009:
Zinger! I think that the second part is a zinger, a witty remark that was added to the original proverb. the translation however is a bit tough:)
Mohammad Gornas Apr 26, 2009:
Two wrongs MC Graw Hill Dictionary had this to say: two wrongs do not make a right is a proverb ...meaning...(Someone may do something bad and not be punished, but that does not mean you are allowed to do bad things..., ....the other part was not found

Not a book title This is not a Book Title .. it was a statement in a general conversation of a movie.
Mohamed Ghazal Apr 26, 2009:
Book Title You can't just translate a book title. The translator should read the book, or at least read a summary of it, then attempt to put a title to the book, which is not necessarily the exact translation of the original title in the source language.
Mohammad Gornas Apr 26, 2009:
wrongs and rights This statement, whether title of a book or a saying is allegoric and unique..probably a product of deep thinking or anotable wise man`s insight ...it therefore takes a unique translator to produce an equaly unique translation!!!!!!!!!!!
Amira El-Wattar (asker) Apr 26, 2009:
In general meaning I know I found the same book title a while ago and agree with you one part makes send but the other doesn't.... but what do you think it stands for anyway???
May be that لا يمكن إصلاح خطأ بآخر؟
Nesrin Apr 26, 2009:
Ah! I just deleted my earlier note cause I can now see it's also a book title, and the image on the book cover kind of explains it (http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/product?item_no... ): left + left + left = right.
Still, I think it may be untranslatable as it is, while retaining the play on the word "right"! At the end of the day, it IS just a silly saying, because there's no real connection between the well-known saying "two wrongs don't make a right" and the added statement "three lefts do.
