Mam też problem z przetłumaczeniem fragmentu "it was to Paris to rally support".

Przetłumaczyłam to zdanie w nastepujący sposób: "Najprawdopodobniej Mickiewicz wiedział aż nazbyt dobrze, jakie katusze tam go czekają, gdyż kiedy już podjął decyzję, udał się do Paryża, aby właśnie tam zebrać wsparcie i przygotować komitet pomocy".
