I'm going to stick my neck out and say that I disagree with the term given in the Open Glossary!!

Wouldn't an "assessment committee" be a comisie de evaluare? To me, "assessment" does not convey the sense that the committee gives its "agrementare" and would merely mean that it assesses things which have already been completed.

"A Stage Gate approval committee is established to approve the project from the conceptual level through to basic engineering, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and post-closure operation..."
