Sculați, sculați boieri mari
Florile dalbe,
Sculați voi, Români plugari,
Florile dalbe,
Că vă vin colindători
Florile dalbe
Noaptea pe la cântători[1]
Florile dalbe
etc.

Popular Romanian Christmas caril Florile Dalbe
Hi Simon,
That is a popular Romanian Christmas carol entitled : Florile Dalbe. Everyone in Romania would understand that reference as a Christmas Carol. There is no direct English translation.
Florile means flowers, dalbe means white.
You can translate it literally as 'Pure flowers' or 'white flowers', but I would leave the Romanian term as it is, in italics and add a footnote explaining it is a popular Romanian Christmas Carol.

Thank you, so does "dalb" mean exactly the same as "alb"? |
