Hi e1, May 27, 2009

We have to congratulate Ekin for proposing such an event after a while, otherwise noone would come with this. Thanks Ekin.
On the other side, though the location was nice, it is not an easy location unless you know the place earlier, or you take a taxi or you have a driver! I am not opposing to the place but only saying if anyone, other than me please, could also come up with new location ideas, since there are other translators who will be coming again and will see nothing else but the s

I am not opposing to the place but only saying if anyone, other than me please, could also come up with new location ideas, since there are other translators who will be coming again and will see nothing else but the same place. Ortaköy, Sultanahmet, Beylerbeyi, Kuruçeşme or other places which may let people enjoy our precious pearl the "Bosphorus" once in a while. If the place will reman the same, than be it... Thanks again Ekin for giving all of us such a chance for gathering.

Any ideas greatly appreciated! May 28, 2009

Actually it wasn’t my idea. Haydée has asked me if I can organize a powwow so she is the one who proposed the event in the first place. Otherwise I could just wait till one of you came up with the idea. So we should thank her instead.
And we are open to any suggestions for a better place, of course. But I’m still for the BUMED unless our get-together collides with another event. It's a bit early to find out but I can check with them this weekend, if you want. I'm not opposed to any o

So everyone please share –what do you think?

Hello :-) Jun 8, 2009

Hi everyone! I have made the reservations at BUMED today. Since nobody said anything about the place I assume that you all agree. Is that true? And I will let you know the details like how you will find the place; actually I can meet those who don't know how to get to Bogazici University. I will meet Haydée and Enrique at Taxim, so you can join us! We won't have a fixed menu, it's all up to you, it will be a la carte if you all a... See more

It's gonna be so cool!!Collapse

Hi Jun 10, 2009

Dear Colleagues,

As some of you may already know, this will be a meeting of translators who are users of ProZ.com and ProZ.com Staff Member Enrique and his wife Haydée will also attend this event. It will be a great opportunity for sharing professional information and for building relationships! Let’s forget about our nicknames and get to know each other in person and have fun! Attendance is free and it will be a pay-your-own-way event. You’re welcome to invite other colleagues

Some bad news.. Jun 24, 2009

Dear Colleagues,

I’m terribly sorry to inform you that our friends from Argentina won’t be able make it to powwow. Yesterday, Haydée sent me an email telling that her husband Enrique is not feeling very well and staying at the hospital for a couple of days. He is diagnosed with a digestive haemorrhage and doctors said it would be unwise to travel. So they had cancelled their trip to Macedonia for the International ProZ.com Conference and then they were planning to visit Istanbu

Yesterday, Haydée sent me an email telling that her husband Enrique is not feeling very well and staying at the hospital for a couple of days. He is diagnosed with a digestive haemorrhage and doctors said it would be unwise to travel. So they had cancelled their trip to Macedonia for the International ProZ.com Conference and then they were planning to visit Istanbul and meet us at the powwow. They said they were very sorry that happened at that time but this is life, of course.

They sent their best regards to all of you and wish us fun at the get-together.

All the best,
