Quick Insertion of symbols

I'm not a fan of the Input menu in the menu bar to insert symbols. Instead, I have created a palette that contains the symbols that I use most often:

Symbols can be inserted with a mouse click or keyboard shortcut, e.g. Option+2 to insert subscript 2.
