Portuguese term

Baia

Portuguese to English Bus/Financial Furniture / Household Appliances Office Furniture
I would like to know how to translate, from Portuguese into English, the term "baia" in the following context:
"O reclamante não tinha baia própria para trabalhar." This deals with the office spaces (or boxes) usually assigned to trainees. I have seen the term "form office" on the internet, but am not sure whether it applies...
Thank you in advance for your invaluable assistance!!

workspace

Unless you can determine from the source text what kind of 'office' this refers to (see first web-ref below), then it might be better to use the generic 'workspace'.

Note from asker:
Both work and cubicle are correct, but I will chose workspace because it is more generic. Thank you very much to both answerers and to all those who offered their contribution!!!

Cubicle

If it's actually a "box" type of workspace, then it's called a "cubicle."
