Portuguese term

aposentes

Portuguese to English Art/Literary History Museum
'O que faz da vila a primeira sede fixa, com aposentes, da Ordem em território português.'

Could they have meant 'aposentos'?

Every time I look for 'aposente' I get the verb 'to retire'.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Household/Seat/etc.
Note from asker:
Maybe... I'm thinking this could be a typo, but I'm not sure.
In this case, I'm translating 'sede' as headquarters, so could 'aposentes' be 'with seats'?
