Discussion

R. Alex Jenkins May 30, 2008:
At the end of the day, the Gloss is the most important thing, for future research purposes. I've updated it with the most suitable answer in this context. Cheers :)

Richard, no one is bickering. The point of kudoz is to help people find the right term and create a useful glossary. Leniel and I were only trying to help in that respect by pointing out a clear mistake.
R. Alex Jenkins May 30, 2008:

R. Alex Jenkins May 30, 2008:
As a professional translator and a qualified computer programmer and engineer by trade I do have to agree that the answer "scheduling" is indeed the best answer in this context. "Escalation" would be a valid response in a slightly different context...

tom_michell May 30, 2008:
I have to agree with Leniel. He is speaking from experience as a computer engineer and while I am not an expert on IT, the two links I posted are obviously referring to the same concept. As for the fact that escalation and escalonamento look similar...
Leniel Maccaferri May 30, 2008:
Hi Alyson, In IT the term used is scheduling - process scheduling would be the correct form... It is used throughout the literature...
