Comment: "Luiz, you didn't address my doubt but your answer made me see the light. The factory feed is the control feed (with no additive) and the trough feed is the feed with the additive. A bit unscientific to talk in these terms when in science the norm is to talk about arms, groups, etc and treatment/experimental group vs control group ... Thanks:-)"
