Welcome to the
Switchover Help Scheme
The traditional TV signal for the London TV region switches to digital in April 2012. If you haven’t switched to digital when your area switches, your TV screen will go blank.
The Switchover Help Scheme has been set up to help you switch your TV to digital. We can:
• help you choose the right digital option for you;
• come to your home and set up the equipment you choose;
•make sure you know how to use it; and
• help you while you are getting used to your digital equipment.
You can choose from:
Our standard option which is free.
Our standard option which is £40.
We will provide everything you need to switch your TV to digital and provide aftercare support. There are no hidden costs, you know what you are getting up front.

What does the switchover mean?
The digital TV switchover will see the traditional analogue signal switched off and replaced with the new digital signal, which will provide a greater choice of TV channels. This new
digital signal is received through a standard TV aerial and in most cases your existing aerial will be fine. If you do not convert your TV to receive the digital signal you will no longer be able to watch TV.
What are the benefits of digital TV?
Digital TV offers:
• a greater choice of channels to watch; and
• additional features such as subtitles and audio description for many programmes.
When do I switch?
The London TV region transmitter begins to switch on 4 April 2012 and ends on 18 April 2012. To find out whether this switchover

How do I know if I need to switch?
If you have five channels or fewer on any TV in your home then you are not ready for digital. If you already have digital TV we could still convert another TV in your home.
