| Description | In December 2006 The UNESCO Chair for Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication, so far virtual, obtained the status of an academic and didactic institution operating within the Jagiellonian University. The Chair pursues its aims through an integrated research and teaching programme on the local, national and international scale. Our general aim is to integrate and develop the existing curricula for the training of translators and interpreters in the full range of translation types addressing the needs of Poland's new political, economic and cultural situation following its accession to the European Union. |
