I have a 3-year old computer (British keyboard)lacking the Euro symbol. Can any computer buff suggest a simpler way for me to record this so that it\'s easier to use than copying from elsewhere?!

I have a German keyboard, but my \"Alt Gr\" button is the one to the right of my space bar. Hit this plus the letter e to get the euro symbol.
Note: this is only supported by some fonts.... but with Arial or Times you ought to be fine (as long as your WP program also supports the euro!)

If you use W98 or W2000 you\'ll find it with CTRL+ALT+E or ALTGR+E (the right ALT key) irrespective of your hardware.

Hello Peter, try this one: in your Word document, click on Insert, then Symbol. Find the Euro currency symbol and click on the Shortcut Key button. Assign a shortcut (ALT+ anything).

P.S.: by the way, in Windows 98 Second Edition in Italian the Euro symbol (€) is typed using ALT GR (ALT Key at the right of the space bar) plus the key E.

Alt GR + e and Alt + Ctrl + e might give the Euro symbol on a German or Italian keyboard, as previous posters have said, but on an English keyboard that gives é. The € is Alt Gr + 4 or Alt + Ctrl + 4.

Have you noticed that the Euro symbol from Word for Windows is different from the Euro symbol used in the Euro web site? Has Microsoft corrected it?
Adobe has the fonts you can download for free.
