Can liter - gallon be added to the conversion tool? دھاگا پوسٹ کرنے والے: Wolfgang Jörissen

Hi there,
Thought I'd use the conversion utility, but just the very thing I was looking for is not there: gallons to liters and vice versa. Could this be added?
Best,
Wolfgang

Google is also very useful for this kind of conversions. You just have to search for "X gallon in liters" and the result is shown within seconds.
Best,
Lüder

Certainly, I can find it anywhere else, but I thought it would be useful for the sake of completeness.
Thanks Wolfgang, for pointing this out, and Lüder for providing an alternative. I'll add this to our development queue.
Best regards,

So if you use Trados, the calculation will be made for you | | | Steven Capsuto امریکہ Local time: 09:27 رکن (2004) انگریزیسےاسپینی + ... Be careful when working with older texts | Jul 29, 2008 |
The British Imperial gallon (used until relatively recently in the UK, Canada, etc.) was larger than the U.S. gallon. So when working with older texts, be sure you know which gallon was used before you make the metric conversion.
Since a quart is 1/4 gallon, I assume the Imperial quart was larger than the U.S. quart as well.

The converter gives me 3.79 liters to the gallon.
Imperial is 4.56 L to the gallon.
If we're hyper-correct, maybe there should be two gallon converters?
And yes, the google converter works nicely, as does a silly little tag thingy in Word 2007 - if you write e.g. 300 m, a little tag will appear with suggestions of converting that value to feet, inches etc.

You have TENS of ACCURATE conversion utilities / tools on the Web, Wolfgang!
Just... Google them out.
Wolfgang is perfectly aware that he can find it everywhere else, he was just asking if this option could be added to the conversion tool as well. And it was. Period. | | | Two gallon converters please! | Jul 31, 2008 |
