Version 5 patched, 5.5 patched, various builds, same with 6, 6.2, 6.5, patched, service packed, upgraded, never really without some kind or other of bugs.

Many of you obviously have much more experience with Trados, through its various versions, than I do. I bought Trados 5.0 a couple of years ago in order to (successfully!) land a big contract and I must say that it has proved a boon in general. On the other hand, it does p*ss me off when clients or agents demand a discount for repetitions, even when they do not supply a TM. Having said that, it does bring in a lot more work if you are prepared to work on that basis. As regards the latest upgrade... In terms of my own limited requirements (Dutch>English only) it is not an improvement on v5.0. In some respects, it is worse. The service also leaves a lot to be desired - I am still waiting for a reply over 48 hours after reporting a functional fault with T-Windows for PowerPoint.

there are many changes from 5 to 6 or 6.5
TagEditor is better and faster
Indesign works only with TagEditor 6
Some changes in Workbench
New Multiterm client
Better work with large TMs
...
If you have to deliver TTX files, you should only work in the version for which the ttx files are made.
