Hello!!
I need to prepare a budget for a localization project. I'm working in an enterprise and I'll do this new project in my "free-time" (2 hours per day aprox.)
DATA:
SW-Translation 12000w aprox
Help - 20000w aprox
User guide - 16000w
I have never done a budget before so, I don't know how to include: compilation, revision...etc. I'll do all the tasks...And I need to know also the time (aprox).

I suppose you have the right application to do this job.
So it makes no difference to translate the files. You only need to analyse (count, maybe with fuzzies?) the files and then apply your price for word (agency or direct client) + 1/3 for editing or proofreading (better would be another person for this) + some hours for management and coordination.

Be careful you know what is required from the client for this budget and that it is only translation/checking. Usually localisation budgets need to cover translation, review, DTP work, engineering, maybe online testing etc. etc.

Please consider translation, profreading, quality check, possible external proofreading, implementation of changes after external proofreading, final sign-off...

It all depends on quality requirements. You have to decide how many steps of quality control does your process involve.

Editing, DTP and so on are separate issues.

There is no single / unambigous answer. You have to declare your milestones first.

Then you can valuate them.
